Our Roots
Dog Drum Seed Supply is deeply rooted in the mission to empower individuals and communities toward greater food sovereignty, self-sufficiency, and responsible land stewardship. We are committed to offering a sustainable marketplace of high quality, heirloom, non-GMO, and culturally significant seeds. We believe that choosing vital seeds that support biodiversity, sustainability, and community resilience can be easy and inspiring.
Coming from a family of botanists and farmers, our founder has been surrounded by plants his entire life. He has researched and practiced the growing methods of countless cultures, including Natural Farming traditions from Japan, Korea, Punjab, Indonesia, Thailand, Africa, numerous island cultures, and the Americas. He has worked as a field laborer, fruit picker, pruner, and planter, putting hundreds of trees in the ground with his own hands.
The way he thinks about growing, community, and reciprocity with the Earth is not far from his Cherokee heritage, which he seeks to honor through this mission.
